We are excited to announce Ecoventura’s new recipe book, Los Sabores de Galapagos/ Flavors of the Galapagos, Ecuador cuisine!
Our Chefs have worked hard to design each meal we serve onboard, and are proud to have finally put together our favorite recipes for you to take home and prepare in your own kitchen. We believe food is a vital component of travel in understanding the culture, history and traditions of a country and we are pleased to be able to offer this recipe book for purchase on board capturing our story through food.
Bring your Galapagos experience home to your friends and family by preparing a meal that reflects your trip in the Galapagos. This is your chance to sit down when you return, share stories of the wildlife you saw and culture you experienced over meals that were prepared by the chefs. Start your meal with a fresh fish and octopus ceviche, next prepare a teriyaki style sea bass with rice noodle salad, and end your meal with a decadent opera cake.
Los Sabores De Galapagos discusses the agricultural activities, seasonal considerations and various products of the Galapagos, in addition to explaining the importance of local consumption. It goes on to address the effects tourism has on the islands, and the balance of maintaining sustainability.
The recipe book brings back memories of the unique style and flavors that you savored onboard. It walks you through the unique ingredients, our creative approach to dining, and natural expectations that our chefs are always striving for.
Currently the recipe book is only available for our guests to purchase onboard in our boutique for $35, but we are hoping to have it available online soon for everyone to have and bring the flavors of the Galapagos to their dining table.
