Ecoventura operates a fleet of expedition vessels in the Galapagos Islands cruises catering to active adults and families; the Eric & Letty, identical superior first-class 20-passenger motor yachts. They cater to small compatible groups of ten guests per naturalist guide ensures a highly personalized and enriching experience with intimate visits on shore.
On a 16-passenger yacht, there will be just one guide for all 16 passengers – as is the case on most other Galapagos tours. By having two guides on board, we can be more flexible and focus on spontaneous natural encounters, for example: whale watching, following a pod of dolphins, longer hikes, more snorkeling, etc. Our yachts operate on mainland Ecuador time and therefore disembark an hour earlier than other boats when wildlife is most active.
You will be able to enjoy the wildlife encounters without ever being lost in the crowd. Aboard our yachts, you willl travel with a handful of like-minded fellow guests with a spirit of travel and adventure. Our trips are more active than others too.
Many of the larger vessels do not carry kayaks or stand up paddle boards. Our guests can explore mangroves and shorelines along cliffs that are home to the spectacular plants and creatures.
We offer a snorkeling outing at least once a day, and sometimes twice a day; from the beach for beginners and in deeper water from the Zodiac for those with some experience.
Our guests can enjoy swimming with playful sealions or penguins in a very intimate setting with very few other snorkelers in the area. In a small group, our presence is less of a disruption to the plants and wildlife and minimizes our impact is less on the islands eco-system.
