Assistance and a short walk to the airport. Departure to Cusco on LATAM flight.Upon arrival, reception and transfer to Sol y Luna Lodge and Spa in Urubamba atthe Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, visit Awanakancha, a weaving project of Andean communities where you will see the four American Camelidae (alpaca,llama, vicuna, guanaco). Learn about their wools and the ancestral techniques of weaving. Visit the village of Pisac and their handicraft market and the Inkairy Museum with impressive pre-Columbian cultures on display. The afternoon is at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the amenities offered at the Relais & Châteaux property.
Excursion to Maras to see the salt mines from the Inca period and still in use today, and to Moray, an experimental agricultural center from the same period, followed by lunch and a visit to the fortress and town of Ollantaytambo, the last living Incantown. Return to theHotel Sol y Luna for overnight.
Transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station. Take a scenic 1 ½ hour trip by abord the first class IncaRail train through the breathtaking Urubamba Valley with gourmet lunch on board. Arrival in Machu Picchu, Lost City of the Incas and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Private guided tour through the ruins and archaeological site. In the evening, return to Ollantaytambo aboard the first class train departing 7PM. Gourmet dinner is included onboard. Arrival to the station and transfer to the Inkaterra La Casona Hotel (Relais & Châteaux) in Cusco.
Explore the beautiful city of Cuzco, with well-preserved colonial architecture, and once the capital of the Inca Empire, and center of the indigenous Quechua culture in the Andes. A guided private tour includes the Plaza de Armas (the main square),the baroque Santo Domingo Convent, built on the top of the Incan Temple of theSun (Qoricancha), and the surrounding ruins of Pukapukara (red fort), Qenko, Tampomachay, and the renowned fortress and religious site of Sacsay huaman famous for its cosmic energy. The afternoon is at leisure.
Transfer to the airport in Cusco for flight to Lima on LATAM. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to theHotel B in Barranco.At 2PM, tour some of Lima’s main colonial sites: The Cathedral, Plaza Mayor, Government and Archbishop Palaces. We also visit the private Larco Museum with unique gold and silver collection, pottery vessels and erotic ceramics from pre-Inca civilizations. Drive through Lima’s modern residential areas: San Isidro and Miraflores with its “Parque del Amor” and ocean views. Transfer to the airport for your flight if you are booked on a red-eye or to the hotel if you have a Saturday morning departure.

Cancellations– if received 90 days or more prior to arrival will get 50% refund of the deposit.
