Both 6-night tours offer either First Class (4 star hotels) or Relais & Châteaux 5-star luxury boutique hotels, including a private guided tour visiting the Machu Picchu ruins, Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. There is a connecting flight onSunday with LATAM in the evening from Quito to Lima after your Galapagos cruise (subject to change). High season is April through October and we recommend you book at least 6 months prior to your departure date as our favorite hotels fill up quickly. NKATERRA LA CASONA(RELAIS & CHÂTEAUX) – a 16th century manorhouse located on the Plaza de la Nazarenas, surrounded by vibrant cobblestonedstreets. Harmoniously restored, its eleven suites flank a gorgeous central patio,fitted with chimneys, heated floors, and extra-large bathtubs.


HOTEL B (RELAIS & CHÂTEAUX) – a luxurious boutique hotel in Peru’s bohemian arts district of Barranco, Hotel B occupies a wonderfully restored colonial mansion. Guests will find a calming oasis with comfortable guest rooms, a rooftop deck with full bar, well-stocked library and cozy living room.

Assistance and a short walk to the airport. Departure to Cusco on LATAM flight.Upon arrival, reception and transfer to Sol y Luna Lodge and Spa in Urubamba atthe Sacred Valley of the Incas. Along the way, visit Awanakancha, a weaving project of Andean communities where you will see the four American Camelidae (alpaca,llama, vicuna, guanaco). Learn about their wools and the ancestral techniques of weaving. Visit the village of Pisac and their handicraft market and the Inkairy Museum with impressive pre-Columbian cultures on display. The afternoon is at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the amenities offered at the Relais & Châteaux property.

Excursion to Maras to see the salt mines from the Inca period and still in use today, and to Moray, an experimental agricultural center from the same period, followed by lunch and a visit to the fortress and town of Ollantaytambo, the last living Incantown. Return to theHotel Sol y Luna for overnight.

Transfer to the Ollantaytambo train station. Take a scenic 1 ½ hour trip by abord the first class IncaRail train through the breathtaking Urubamba Valley with gourmet lunch on board. Arrival in Machu Picchu, Lost City of the Incas and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Private guided tour through the ruins and archaeological site. In the evening, return to Ollantaytambo aboard the first class train departing 7PM. Gourmet dinner is included onboard. Arrival to the station and transfer to the Inkaterra La Casona Hotel (Relais & Châteaux) in Cusco.

Explore the beautiful city of Cuzco, with well-preserved colonial architecture, and once the capital of the Inca Empire, and center of the indigenous Quechua culture in the Andes. A guided private tour includes the Plaza de Armas (the main square),the baroque Santo Domingo Convent, built on the top of the Incan Temple of theSun (Qoricancha), and the surrounding ruins of Pukapukara (red fort), Qenko, Tampomachay, and the renowned fortress and religious site of Sacsay huaman famous for its cosmic energy. The afternoon is at leisure.

Transfer to the airport in Cusco for flight to Lima on LATAM. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to theHotel B in Barranco.At 2PM, tour some of Lima’s main colonial sites: The Cathedral, Plaza Mayor, Government and Archbishop Palaces. We also visit the private Larco Museum with unique gold and silver collection, pottery vessels and erotic ceramics from pre-Inca civilizations. Drive through Lima’s modern residential areas: San Isidro and Miraflores with its “Parque del Amor” and ocean views. Transfer to the airport for your flight if you are booked on a red-eye or to the hotel if you have a Saturday morning departure.

  • Train tickets from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu and return on the First- Class Train and VIP service from IncaRai.
  • Zigzag bus from Machu Picchu Pueblo to the citadel, entrance fee to the ruins on Wednesday.
  • Airfare from Guayaquil to Lima (one way): approximately $500 per person.
  • Domestic airfare from Lima to Cusco round trip: $500 per person for full unrestricted fares ($25 fee for changes per person per route) or less for non-refundable tickets with restrictions.
  • Meals not mentioned in the itinerary and gratuities to the guide and driver.

Surcharges on luxury and first-class tour:There could be additional charges if the dates of travel fall over holidays such as Easter, Christmas and New Year (Festive), Inti Rami festival in late July and Labor Day May 1st in Peru.

Cancellations– if received 90 days or more prior to arrival will get 50% refund of the deposit.

Cancellations 89-60 days prior to arrival forfeit the entire deposit.
