5 Ways to Stay Healthy and Fit While on a Galapagos Cruise

Let’s face it: One of the famous cliches in the cruise industry is that passengers often come home after vacation with “extra baggage.” With unlimited food and ample resources for relaxation at your fingertips on all-inclusive cruises, it can be difficult NOT to indulge.
But rest assured, this is not the case on an Ecoventura cruise!

Since 1990, we have made it our mission to provide passengers with many opportunities for both relaxation and exciting adventure on our small expedition cruises in the Galapagos Islands. Below are some tips our team has mastered over the years to help you stay healthy and fit while on a Galapagos cruise with Ecoventura:
1. Take advantage of our active itineraries
With activities such as hiking, snorkeling, and kayaking, there is something to do every day to keep your body moving. Staying active during your cruise is not only good for your health, but it allows you to explore the beauty and nature of the Galapagos to the fullest!

2. Eat healthy and nutritious meals during your stay
The food you will experience on board an Ecoventura cruise is unlike any other cruise. We offer passengers a variety of healthy food choices for all meals and snacks. With plentiful options of fresh fruit, vegetables, and lean proteins, you will not be bored with our nutritious dishes to keep you fit and satisfied. We cater to many dietary restrictions and work with the best chefs in the region to provide you with premier dining experiences during your stay with us.
Although with all the activity and healthy eating, we do encourage you to try some of our exquisite desserts!
3. Stay on top of your fitness routine
Our newest luxury yacht, the MV ORIGIN, offers passengers a fully equipped state-of-the-art gym, should you feel inclined to stay on top of your normal fitness routine during your stay with us. We also invite guests to a morning stretch or enjoy yoga on the sun deck on all our yachts… Namaste!
4. Experience new activities
You can also experience a new full body workout while taking in the beautiful scenery of the islands! Ecoventura is excited to announce that the use of Stand Up Paddle Boards (SUPs) is now available to our passengers in the designated areas where we use our Kayaks. Learn more.
5. Relax in the Jacuzzi
PHEW! With all the kayaking, hiking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, and yoga, you are going to want to treat yourself to some much needed rest and relaxation. Watch the sunset and take in the ocean breezes in our Jacuzzi hot tub on board the MV ORIGIN. Trust us, you won’t want to miss this!
