We are proud to announce our chefs Xavier Moncayo Chicaiza and Roberto Urgiles recently competed and placed 4th in the Culinary Cup 2014.
They artfully prepared and presented the following dishes for the competition:
Appetizer: Trilogy of octopus in red pepper sauce

Main Dish: Pistachio encrusted Swordfish with roasted vegetables provencal.
Dessert: Tree tomato stuffed with chocolate crème and amaranth crumble – tree tomato is a very popular local fruit grown in the Andes region and also known as tamarillo.
It has always been a priority at Ecoventura that our guests leave their week in the Galapagos with an appreciation for the local cuisine. We continue to support the local economy by sourcing 60% of our food locally and hopefully help you leave the islands with a better understanding of the unique flavors of the archipelago. Our gourmet style menus are designed by the culinary talent of Chef Francisco Ventimilla, Director of the esteemed gastronomy school in Guayaquil, University Espiritu Santo.
Our chefs were able to show off their skills at the Culinary Cup and we are looking forward to them continuing to improve those while serving our guests.
